"It’s easy these days for large corporations to choose profit over care. This started to happen with this agency. My wife and I live in a fire prone area and I was unable to complete the required repairs to my house in time. There was some miscommunication and the agency at first took a hard line, potentially dropping me in the middle of 2 forest fires not far from my house. I was madly trying to do repairs as the fires came closer, it was extremely stressful. The agency didn’t seem to know what I was doing or care. Then Marisela Chavez heard about what was happening. She worked tirelessly, pleading our case before adjuster after adjuster at State Farm. She communicated with us every day, concerned about how we were doing and keeping us updated, her attention was remarkable. Because of her warrior spirit and sympathy she was able to get us a considerable extension which will allow me to finish repairs. My health was starting to suffer but thanks to Marisela I can relax, knowing I am covered while I make my house as fire resistant as possible. I have heard stories of others who have suddenly been dropped by insurance companies because of risk cutting into profits, it’s sad. Marisela fought to do the right thing and won. I’m old enough to have had many insurance agencies cover my property. Marisela is far and away the most caring personal and effective agent I have had. I’m very grateful to her."

"I have never had such a hard time getting a company to provide their primary service. I have to call this agency practically every week to stop them from either a) inexplicably canceling my policy due to some error on their end, or b) charging me the semi-annual rate a month after I just paid it. They only answer the phone about half the time, and when they do, the person on the other end will assure me they'll take care of whatever issue it is, only for me to receive an automated email a few days later informing me that the issue has, clearly, not been resolved. I still can't get them to issue an insurance card, and have not received my policy disclosure after over a month with a new policy. Even worse, they bait and switched me on my initial policy quote, and ended up charging me almost 40% more after I signed. I will definitely be taking my business far away from State Farm - and especially this agency - in the future."

"Working with State Farm, and Jennifer Paris team, has been a dream come true. When I Switched to State Farm from my previous company earlier this year, after being with my old company for over 15 years, I automatically saved over $50 dollars. Shucks, I thought this was good and it only got better. They noticed that I was not part of Safe Drive, so they suggested this option. More savings, yes please, and like over $20 more. How does one top off the cake from here? Well, State Farm can. Jennifer Paris looks out for you, your safety, and your savings. The real jaw dropper was when I received a call from Jennifer herself when she noticed that I completed a change of address. She inquired about the new space that I was renting and offered a higher renters policy, for the same policy. We finished the call by Jennifer stating that I will also save more with my change of address. If you are wondering how you can save more money, but you are comfortable with your current can insurance policy. Just do it. I was hesitant because I live in the mountains and often crack my windshield; I thought that my rates went down when I hit a couple of age drops, etc. Nothing compares to State Farm and the quality experience you will have. "I've been a State Farm client for over 30 years and a client of this office for over 10 years. Until now, I have been extremely satisfied with my choice, but I can no longer recommend this office (or State Farm in general). The change - State Farm has contracted out with a 3rd party for their roadside assistance. This third party relies exclusively on a cell phone app without any way to talk to a 'real person'. When in a roadside assistance situation, this is very disconcerting and stressful. This last weekend was the second time I had to use the roadside assistance and found that it was impossible to get the information I needed. At this point, I will be investigating other options for insurance - given that I've heard the same complaints from others, I'm sure I can find another insurance company that has 'real' people responding to these sorts of situations. By the way, when I spoke directly with the office, their response was that this was just the way things are and there is nothing they can do about it. UPDATE (after the "Response from the owner"): The issue is simply that there is no way to talk to a real person. And the comment regarding "In the past, the only option..." is a lie - it used to be that clients could call a number on their insurance card, speak with a 'real' person, and get the tow coordinated (I know because, as I've said, I've used this in the past). It is a change that State Farm is now outsourcing this service. Furthermore, the idea that the customer can get reimbursed comes with a list of caveats - specifically that they will only reimburse up to a certain amount, so be careful not to do anything that is 'too expensive' or you're out of luck for full reimbursement. And one more correction - the tow service itself did a great job and I have no complaints on that side of things. It was the State Farm roadside assistance that was horrible."
"Hi Brett- I’m so sorry that you had a poor experience with the tow service State Farm makes available for policyholders. You are right when you state that others have felt response times were slow. In the past, the only option for towing assistance was for our office to reimburse you after you incur a covered tow claim. Having this online option is supposed to be another option for those that may be caught without the ability to pay the bill and wait for reimbursement. The large majority of policyholders using this system have a good experience which is why we still offer this assistance. That doesn’t mean that we don’t have customers that feel response from tow trucks is slow at times or struggle with communication. I’ve not ever heard that a live person was not available to speak with and will be taking your experience to our management team. Thank you for sharing your concerns!"

I don't like needing insurance, but you have to have it. It's good to have the coverage you need from a company that pays."
